Yesterday, I had the privilege to guest host the Small Business Trends Radio Show where Iinterviewed Victoria Ransom, the CEO of Wildfire Interactive. I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t ever heard of Wildfire Interactive — but today, I’m going to make sure that this terrible tragedy doesn’t happen to you.
You’ve probably seen, heard and read a lot of advice on how to use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Foursquare and other social media tools to increase your business. And you’ve probably also heard that one of the best ways to increase the number of loyal (meaning real) followers and fans of your business is to run contests, offer coupons and play games and run sweepstakes and do all this other crazy stuff. And you’ve probably agreed. And then you stopped and got to thinking about HOW you would actually DO something like that and that’s where things just — well — how can I say this — stalled.
That’s pretty much where I had been. That is until I had the happy circumstance of meeting Victoria who had the exact same dilemma except she had the brilliant entrepreneurial bright idea to create a product around it — Wildfire.
She claims it’s as easy as pie and I’m going to see if she’s right. Right after the show I signed up for an account and over the next few posts, I’m going to take you through my “Wildfire Experience” in time.
I’m using my trial of Camtasia Studio 7 to create the video you’ll see here. In fact, I’m literally opening up the program and hitting the record button just to see how easy it is. I’ve also done NO editing on this. So you can see how easy it is to start a Wildfire Campaign AND use Camtasia Studio 7 all at once
It seems that I have some brain-work to do before I actually create a REAL campaign. One thing I do have to mention is that Victoria and her team at Wildfire have really thought of everything. After you sign up, you’ll get a terrific confirmation e-mail will links to all the relevant articles to read and think about BEFORE you launch your campaign. Here is a snippet from MY email:
