  • Web sites I didn’t know about: Twilert (www.twilert.com) sends you e-mail alerts when someone tweets about your chosen keywords. HowSocialble (www.HowSociable.com) measures visibility of the brand or company name that you type into a search box on the homepage to see how many times it appears on blogs, facebook and more than 20 outlets. ScoutLabs (www.scoutlabs.com) is a social media monitoring program for small and medium sized businesses. Twitseeker (www.twitseeker.com) search tweets or profile bios for keywords and get a list of people to follow. Follow twitterers in your local area with Twellow (www.twellow.com) it’s yellow pages for twitter.

Twitter Marketing for Dummies is LOADED with practical how-tos that you can do in one sitting. Here is an example from the section titled: Asking How You Can Help Your Followers from the ?Leveraging Your Twitter Tribe? Chapter:

  1. Create a list of top 10 to 25 users who are following you and whom you are following
